The City of Wood River has a new budget plan that has been officially submitted to the City Council. The budget comes in at about $6.4-million less than last year, when BP kicked in most of the extra money to build the new police station that should break ground sometime this year.
City Manager Jim Schneider tells The Big Z that means this year's budget is about what it has been in previous years.

The budget hearing has been scheduled for Monday, March 21, before the next city council meeting at 7pm.
