(CORRECTED STORY:  THE EVENT IS OCT. 7, NOT THIS SUNDAY) The fourth Wood River Fall Festival is set for Sunday Oct. 7, and organizers are hoping to bounce back from a year off last year.  The construction in and around downtown forced the postponement of the event in 2011, but the year before, organizers say they attracted nearly 9,000 people to the event that runs along Ferguson Avenue.

Ferguson will be blocked off from Wood River Avenue to 2nd street.  There will be a variety of food vendors, and plenty things for the kids to do, according to Festival Chairman Mandy Markel.

Markel comments

Music will be provided by Easy Rider from Noon-4pm and Hicktown from 4-8pm on October 7.  Markel says the current streetscape work on Ferguson Avenue should not be a factor this year.
