If you know a woman that has complied a number of outstanding personal achievements and contributions to the community, they may be among the 2015 class of Women of Distinction.  The Silver Anniversary of the award program is coming in 2015, and organizers are getting the ball rolling now.  They hope to have at least one honoree from each of the previous 25 years involved in the planning.

More than 200 women have been honored since the program began.  Women of Distinction co-chair Margaret Freer says they are looking for larger community input this year.

The honorees will reflect the mission of the YWCA: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.  They will be announced in the spring and will appear on Z-1570's Let's Talk prior to their luncheon at the Commons at Lewis & Clark Community College on April 30.  Call 465-7774, or e-mail the link:  alamer@altonywca.com
