A 71-year-old Godfrey woman is charged with felony Aggravated Cruelty to Animals after she allegedly killed a grandchild’s cat and four kittens. Josephine E. Bell of the 5,000 block of Victor Drive was arrested Monday night after a deputy was called to the house to investigate an animal cruelty complaint.
Captain Mike Dixon, Chief of Investigations with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, tells The Big Z Bell indicated she had warned her grandchildren that if they didn’t clean their rooms they would lose all their animals.
