Repairs to Chicago's Willis Tower Ledge are expected to make tourist feel a little better moving forward. Late Wednesday night, the glass surface started to crack right under the feet of a group of tourists. Officials say that's not a big concern, it was just the protective coating on the Ledge. They say the crack in the coating did not affect the structural integrity and the Ledge is still open.
When it was built back in the early 1970s as the Sears Tower, the 108-story tower was the tallest building in the world. The glass box hangs out over the edge of the building at about 13-hundred feet above the street, giving people a view of the ground below and the sprawling Chicago skyline.
