Tickets are on sale for The Friends of the Wildey Theatre’s presentation of “Memories of Mockingbird: An Evening With Scout” at the historic Theatre in Downtown Edwardsville. Now more than 50-years-old, the movie tackles many issues that are still relevant today: race, compassion and sympathy. The theater will offer two showings a week from Thursday, with one of the movie’s stars in attendance.
On May 15, Mary Badham, who played “Scout” in the movie, will be on hand to speak to the audience, answer questions, and sign autographs. “Friends of the Wildey Theatre” spokesman S.J. Morrison says there will be two shows that day.
