Two business owners have come together to put together a wiffleball league and tournament that could send the winning team to the Golden Stick Wiffleball League National Championship Tournament in Atlantic City New Jersey.

Rob Simmons and Fred Slow's creation, the Gateway Yard League will include both league and tournament play with teams of up to six people, playing two games at the Cottage Hills V.F.W. every Wednesday night for a 10 week period starting on August 1st.

Simmons says that it would be the first time a team from the St. Louis area plays in a national wiffle ball tournament.

Simmons also says that they are still hoping to add more teams and that registration has been extended until July 20th. Registration fees are $60 per person, which covers the cost of equipment and insurance.
