Some months were dry, some were not, but 2011 will go down as the 10th wettest year on record in Illinois. On average, Illinois received close to 46 inches of precipitation last year statewide. Although State Climatologist Jim Angel says it seemed to come in extremes, either tons of rain, or drought conditions in some areas.
