It looks like the wet weather may continue this summer.  So far, statewide rainfall for June has averaged 5 1/2 inches.  That's more than an inch above normal, according to State Climatologist Jim Angel.

Angel says the latest long term forecast is calling for wetter than normal conditions through July.  In August and September the higher rainfall totals are expected to be confined to Western Illinois.
