The public will be able to take a walk back in time Tuesday afternoon at Lewis and Clark Community College. The walking tour will showcase how the college appeared in the 1800’s when it was known as Monticello College according to Greg Cash, the Assistant Director of Reference Services.
Cash says it that it will not be formatted like a “ghost tour”.

The tour will begin on the steps of Caldwell Hall at 2 p.m. tomorrow and take participants through some key parts of campus before wrapping up with a tour of The Evergreens, Harriet Haskell’s former residence. Cash says an actor will also be on site portraying Nora Dell Hatheway by recounting the events of the fire on November 4th, 1888. The tour is free and open to the public, for more information call 468-4330.
