Vintage Voices will begin its 14th season tomorrow at the Alton City Cemetery. Running four consecutive Saturdays through October, the event portrays sometimes history-making Altonians buried in the cemetery, which is located on the corner of 5th and Vine Streets. The tours run from 1 to 2:45pm leaving about every 15 minutes.
Alton Little Theater is the sponsor of the event and actor Jerome Minks says they do extensive research into the people buried there and then try to recreate their story. Minks tells The Big Z he teamed with the current owner of the McPike Mansion to research his character, Henry McPike.
