The Alton Little Theater is bringing back Vintage Voices to the Alton City Cemetery, and the program will be presented over the course of four consecutive Saturday afternoons this month.  Organizers are excited about this year's lineup of "guests," as the city continues to celebrate its 175th anniversary. 

Coordinator Lee Cox says through extensive research by the actor/docents, there are many interesting stories to tell about the people buried there:

Tickets can be purchased the day of the tour at the Vine Street entrance to the cemetery.  The walking tours are each Saturday this month, through the 27th starting at 1pm and the last tour departing at 2:45pm...leaving about every 15 minutes through the cemetery which is handicapped accessible.  Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for students, and can be purchased in advance at the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau.  For a list of featured former residents, click the link below:
