The Alton Little Theater is bringing back Vintage Voices to the Alton City Cemetery, and the program will be presented over the course of four consecutive Saturdays next month. Organizers are excited about this year's lineup of "guests," as the city continues to celebrate its 175th anniversary. Each person has a story to share, and the committee in charge this year has again found an interesting collection of residents.
Char Stetson is one of the event organizers. She says among the guests will be Alton's founder Rufus Easton, and an entrepreneur named Anton Reck.
Tickets can be purchased the day of the tour at the Vine Street entrance to the cemetery. Tours run each Saturday in October between 1-3pm and leave about every 15 minutes through the cemetery which is handicapped accessible. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for students, and can be purchased in advance at the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
