More than 100 people turned out for a candlelight vigil last evening to remember Jones, who was shot and killed on Monday evening while he was waiting with friends near the community center at the Alton Acres Housing Complex.

Last night’s vigil was organized by Churches on the Streets, a ministry group that has worked with kids who live in the neighborhood.  Co-founder Angela Valdes tells the Big Z she remembers meeting Jones before Christmas:
