Downtown St. Louis was awash in a sea of red, as thousands of fans turned out to see the world champion Cardinals.  A victory parade for the World Series winners began yesterday at Union Station and ended with a special ceremony at Busch Stadium late Sunday afternoon.  Cards manager Tony LaRussa led the way with the Budweiser Clydesdales.  One of the horses was even named after him in honor of the occasion.

St. Louis defeated the Texas Rangers in seven games, winning a heart-stopping Game Six which went to extra innings and then capping off their 11th World Series title on Friday.  Third baseman David Freese, who was the MVP of the World Series, was given a key to the city as well as to St. Louis County.
