A dog that has been involved in a number of documented attacks will stay quarrantined for now. The pit bull most recently attacked a jogger on West Delmar Boulevard in Godfrey last month, dragging her to the ground and requiring about 120 stitches. A hearing that could have declared the dog vicious has been postponed for about a month.

The hearing was to have been held at the Madison County Courthouse on Thursday, but an attorney for the dog's owner said he needed more time to research the case. The dog has been caged at the Madison County Animal Control facility in Edwardsville since shortly after the attack.
