Alton Police are seeking an alleged shooter after a weekend incident in Upper Alton.  Police say 19-year-old Marco D. Toney (pictured, top), of the 1600 block of Greenwood, shot another man in the leg while at Jim's Corner at the corner of College and Washington Avenue Saturday morning.  He has been charged with Aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

The victim's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.  Alton Police Lieutenant Scott Golike says this was a result of an ongoing dispute between two groups of young men that could have put an innocent person at risk.

If you know where Toney is, call 463-3505 Ext. 230 or the Anonymous Tip Line at 465-5948.  In another case, Golike believe they have their man in a string of robberies and attempted robberies.  21-year-old Zachary A. Williams (pictured, bottom), of the 1200 block of Hampton Street, has been charged with armed robbery, robbery, and attempted robbery.  He is suspected in three Upper Alton crimes in December, including the attack and robbery of a 69-year-old man at the laundromat.
