The United Way of Greater St. Louis has surpassed its fundraising goal for 2014. This year, the overall goal of $72.5 million for the St. Louis area was exceeded by a half million dollars. While that number is based on pledges, a local spokesman says much of the money is already coming in.
United Way Marketing and Communications Manager Natasha Sakovich says the next step is to distribute the funds. That will begin in January.
