The Southwest Illinois Division of The United Way of Greater St. Louis has selected a chair for its upcoming fundraising campaign. Joann Barton, senior vice president with TheBANK of Edwardsville will lead the effort this year for the division that serves the Riverbend.
United Way of Greater St. Louis Manager of Marketing and Communications Natasha Sakovich says the process of raising money and awarding it to local agencies is almost a year-round process:

The Southwest Illinois Division of The United Way raised just over $1.8 million last year surpassing its goal. The division serves 40 health and human service organizations in Madison, Calhoun, Greene, Jersey and Macoupin Counties. The official campaign will kickoff in September.
Serving the areas of Alton, Godfrey, East Alton, Wood River, Roxana, Edwardsville, Jerseyville, Brighton, Bethalto, Grafton, Granite City, Hartford, Highland, Troy, Fairview Heights, Belleville and the surrounding cities.
