The Southwestern Illinois Chapter of the Greater St. Louis United Way is hard at work preparing to hand out its annual allocations to local non-profit groups. Dozens of volunteers are visiting the numerous agencies that will benefit from the United Way fund raising efforts which this year brought in $1.9 million.

The organizational visits will be complete in March, at which time the full committee will meet with the United Way board and make a final decision on how much will be given to each group.
