One of the more unique buildings in the Riverbend will be nothing more than a memory by summer, if all goes according to plan.  The Citizen's Bank Building sits along Berkshire Boulevard in East Alton as you go up the hill into Rosewood Heights, but it has apparently deteriorated to the point of no return.

Demolition is not expected to begin for 60 - 90 days, as the village still needs to advertise for bids to do the work.  Silkwood says the short-term plan is to turn the property into green space, but sees potential for commercial development in the future.
