The unemployment rate dropped in 12 of the state's 14 metro areas last month, but job growth is still sluggish.  The metro numbers compare data from one year ago.  And while there was a decrease in the jobless rate over the year, Illinois Department of Employment Security spokesman Bob Gough says growth has been limited to certain areas of the state.

The biggest over-the-year job losses were seen last month in the Quad Cities, the Carbondale-Marion area, Bloomington, and Lake County.
