Good news for unemployed Illinoisans who were expecting to lose their benefits December 29th. Greg Rivara with the state's Department of Employment Security says they'll keep getting their paychecks, thanks to the fiscal cliff negotiations.
About 90,000 people in Illinois were going to lose benefits. It applied to anyone who was receiving benefits for more than 25 weeks. Those collecting compensation don't have to do anything different, and they should continue to certify for benefits.
