Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford is here to say: accept no imitations. The treasurer's office operates an “unclaimed property” program to reunite people with forgotten paychecks, contents of safe deposit boxes, and other goodies. Rutherford’s office has branded it as I-Cash, but he says it has come to his attention that other programs are out there.
