Illinois' unclaimed property program, run by the state treasurer, has reunited citizens with lost, forgotten treasures.
Businesses can get their piece of the pie as well, and the Illinois Retail Merchants Association is helping.

Many of IRMA's members are mom-and-pop businesses, but not all are. “There have been some larger corporations that have some unclaimed property,” he says. “Not a lot, but $50,000 here, $50,000 there, and you've got some real money.”
