The University of Illinois has a bio-science laboratory under construction. It’s called HTI, for Health, Technology, Innovation at Chicago Technology Park. It’ll be located near the University of Illinois at Chicago campus. Gov. Pat Quinn, in announcing the project, said the $3.4 million the state is putting into this – half from the U. of I. and half from the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity – demonstrates that the research that comes out will be important.
