The recent launch of a program called "Illinois Made" was done with the intention of highlighting businesses that feature, as the name says, Illinois made products and services.  Two Alton businesses will be honored and placed on that list Tuesday.

Alton Regional Convention and Visitor's Bureau President Brett Stawar tells The Big Z the first presentation will be at Mississippi Mud Pottery on Broadway at 1pm, followed by a trip down the hill to Landmarks Boulevard.

The program includes short films about individual makers or businesses that are creating, designing, building or serving up something that is uniquely Illinois. The films will be featured on the Illinois Made website, which will tell the bigger story of how Illinois artisans, makers and doers are impacting Illinois culture and reshaping perceptions of our state.
