A tuition hike could be in the works for students at Southern Illinois University. The school's budget is being stripped by about ten million dollars next year. University President Glenn Poshard says that could take things from bad to worse. He says it will make it tougher for low-income students who struggle to pay for college.

Poshard says the university has already seen extensive cuts in recent years. In fact, it's seen about a 30-million dollar drop over the past few years.
