The Illinois Treasurer is touting a new proposed state-based retirement program.  The Secure Choice Savings Program has already been referenced as a potential model for other states to set up individual-run retirement accounts with automatic enrollment, even though the official roll-out is not expected for at least another year or so.

Mike Frerichs tells The Big Z this program could help over one-million Illinoisans without an workplace retirement plan an option to save for retirement through payroll deductions.
