Weather related property damage in Carrollton on Friday night is now being blamed on a tornado. The twister was classified as an EF-1 storm, with an estimated peak wind of 104 MPH. An EF-1 classification is for tornadoes with winds between 86 and 110 MPH.
National Weather Service Warning Coordinator Meteorologist Jim Kramper tells The Big Z the storm did not prompt a tornado warning.

According to information from the National Weather Service, the tornado lasted just under 15 minutes, beginning 3.2 miles southwest of Carrollton and ending 1.5 miles northeast of town.
