The Madison County Health Department says it's time to start thinking about getting your annual flu shot. Health department spokesperson Amy Yeager says most everyone six months and older should get a flu shot.
There's also a nasal spray vaccine. Yeager says flu season in Illinois typically runs from October thru as late as May, with cases peaking in January and February. But last season was considered harsher than most, starting early and sending hundreds to the ICU and even killing a handful of people.
