Three suspects in a string of burglaries, which took place Wednesday in Highland, are in custody. All three men are residents of Highland. 20-year-old Logan J. Brave, 20-year-old Nicholas J. Kernan, and 21-year-old Trevor A. Harrison were interrupted by the owner while allegedly burglarizing his vehicle in the 3400 block of Highron Dr. The Madison County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene at around 3am.
Police say the suspects fled the scene of the crime on foot after being confronted by the vehicle owner. A dozen other vehicles and at least one garage were found to be broken into around the same time early Wednesday. Stolen items from the string of burglaries included cash and cigarettes. A truck was located and officers deemed it to be suspicious. The truck turned out to belong to Brave. Kernan and Harrison were also linked to the burglaries a short time after Brave agreed to meet with the deputies and were taken into custody later that morning. All three suspects are being held in the Madison County Jail where each of their bonds are set at $100,000.
