Three area women spent the weekend in jail and were charged Monday with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Wood River Police arrested 44-year-old Lisa M. McAdams (pictured, bottom) of the 200 block of Wood River Avenue in East Alton; 22-year-old Allora K. Stratton (pictured, top) of the 200 block of S. 9th in Wood River; and 23-year-old Amanda L. Williams (pictured, center) of the 600 block of Marsh in Alton on Friday.
Detective Ronald Harris of the Wood River Police Department says the incident began with a phone call from Stratton's house to police.
Each were charged with possession under 15 grams, which Harris says would be typical of a user, rather than a dealer. Bond was set at $15,000 each.
