A number of burglaries in Bethalto have been solved, according to police, with the arrest of three men from the village. Police say the recent break-ins at R.P. Lumber, a couple of cars and another piece of property can all be attributed to three men who live within a block or two of the crime scenes
Detective Jeff Cope of the Bethalto Police Department says police responded to a call of suspicious activity in the 800 block of South Prairie at about 10pm last Saturday. Through the investigation at the scene, the suspects were located, as was sufficient evidence to bring charges.
