Thousands of people attended annual Labor Day Parades on Monday.  The cooler weather brought out spectators to watch the parade in Granite City sponsored by the Greater Madison County Federation of Labor with Union representatives from around the area taking part in the festivities.  Madison County Clerk Debbie Ming-Mendoza served as the Parade Marshall.

Granite City's parade was the 34th sponsored by the federation.  Labor Day parades were also held on Monday in downtown Belleville and downtown St. Louis.
