Teachers in Highland will vote on a proposed agreement today that could bring an end to the two-day strike. The teacher’s union and school board members spent eight hours working on unresolved salary issues before reaching a tentative agreement on Saturday. Terms of that agreement have not been released but the union will vote on the proposed agrement today at 4 p.m. Once results of the vote are tabulated, district officials will make an announcement regarding plans for this week. If the agreement is approved today, students could be back in school by Monday.
