More than 115-thousand packets of synthetic drugs have been seized on both sides of the Mississippi River.  DEA officials in St. Louis said Operation Log Jam marked the first time law-enforcement action's been taken nationally against the synthetic designer drug industry.  The drug makers create medications often marketed as bath salts, incense and plant food.

Involved in the recent bust were Madison and St. Clair County prosecutors, as well as Edwardsville Police, state police and the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
