Two Alton men are charged in numerous burglaries that happened in the North Alton area last week. Police say 20-year-old Zachary J. Delay and 25-year-old Ryan D. Dees are responsible for at least 9 of the 14 reported cases that occurred last Wednesday night into Thursday morning, August 6 and 7 in the 900 block of Northdale, the 2200 block of Krug Place, the 2200 block of Marquette Drive, and the 2200 block of Norside Drive.
Among the items recovered are electronics, personal items and a gun. Alton Police Public Information Officer Emily Hejna says if you were the victim of a burglary, but didn’t report it, you should call the police to attempt to identify your property.

The Alton Police number is 463-3505, extension 234. Both men were charged with 9 counts of Burglary, while Dees was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon. Bond was set at $200,000 for each.
