With a few more concerts to go in 2014, the Alton Amphitheater Commission will be looking soon at putting together a schedule for 2015.  Preliminary estimates have last weekend’s Kenny Rogers concert at the Liberty Bank Alton Amphitheater drawing upwards of 2,500 people, which organizers say was at least as good if not better than the summer’s Under the Sun Tour.

And success can breed more success, according to Alton Regional Convention and Visitor’s Bureau President Brett Stawar, who is also a member of the Amphitheater Commission.

There are still three concerts remaining in the 2014 schedule.  This Saturday is River Jam 2014 featuring 70’s rockers Elvin Bishop, Wishbone Ash, Savoy Brown and Point Blank.  September 20 is the Mississippi Earthtones Festival, and the Little River Band wraps up the concert season on September 26.
