The Riverbend Growth Association is preparing to help launch a new business development program for high school seniors.  The CEO Program will kick off at Alton High and Marquette and allow a limited number of seniors who will work with local business leaders to develop their own business plan.

RBGA President Monica Bristow tells the Biz Z the program being offered locally is modeled after a similar group at Granite City High School.  She says an informational meeting was well attended:

Once the program begins, the selected students will meet with local business owners, tour those businesses, sit in on meetings, and eventually develop their own small business.  Bristow says the goal is to show the students selected for the program the opportunities for business in their own hometown.
