The St. Baldrick’s Foundation benefits again from a head-shaving event at Alton High School.  The foundation raises money for childhood cancer research and this was the 7th year Alton High students have shaved their heads to raise money for kids with cancer.  The event was held yesterday.

Kristen Kniepkamp is the faculty coordinator for the effort and tells The Big Z participation was down a little this year:

She says the goal is to raise $5,000, and hopes they can get closer to that.  The event is promoted by the school’s Interact Club, which is affiliated with the Alton / Godfrey Rotary Club.  To make a donation, follow the link below:
