A handful of Alton students are now more qualified to spring into action in case of a medical emergency.  The Alton Fire Department teamed with the Alton Community Relations Commission and Alton School District last Saturday to teach a CPR and AED class.

Alton Fire Chief Bernie Sebold tells The Big Z that was at the request of the Community Relations Commission’s Ben Golley.

The course did not provide a CPR card, but those students or anyone else who would like to get one can take a class offered by the fire department the second Tuesday of each month.  You can sign up for $10 by calling 463-3565.
