Beginning Tuesday May 31st, students of the riverbend area can ride the Madison County Transit  for free. The MCT Summer Youth Pass program, now in its ninth year, allows students unlimited free rides on all of MCT's fixed route bus system from now until Labor Day. Passes are available for all Madison County students in 7th through 12th grade and are available on request for students in kindergarten through 6th. To get a Summer Youth Pass, or for more information email, call 618-797-INFO or visit the Madison County Transit page on Facebook.

Since the program's inception in 2008, Youth Passes have accounted for more than 400,000 boardings on MCT. Students can get a free ride to summer jobs, classes, pools and parks. With more that 130 miles of scenic bikeways maintained by MCT and bike racks on all MCT busses, Students can Bike and Bus for a seamless ride all around Madison county.
