Representatives from the Madison County Emergency Management Agency have spent the last year working on a Madison County Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan. The plan has been placed into a draft and county residents will have their first opportunity to review and ask any questions about it during an upcoming forum.
Mary Kate Malone, Deputy Director of the Madison County EMA, says they identified 255 projects and activities to protect Madison County residents and property from storms and other natural disasters. She says the plan addresses a wide variety of topics, including flooding.
