Started as a way to do something for lonely seniors during the Christmas season, the 2nd annual Stockings for Seniors Drive is now underway.  Five Riverbend locations are now accepting donations of various items, including gloves, hats, scarves, decks of large print playing cards, large print puzzle books, pens, and blanket throws.

Event spokesman Stacey Loveland tells The Big Z being able to bring stockings to seniors is a touching experience.

Donations may be dropped off now through December 4th at Foxes Grove, Glenhaven Gardens, Senior Services Plus, Eden Village, and The Fountains in Granite City.  Donations will be accepted at any of the drop-off locations through December 4th.  If you know of a senior that would appreciate a stocking, call 259-0851 or 462-1500.
