Casino admissions in Illinois are down 13 percent from two years ago, and gross receipts are down 1 percent. This coincides with the placement of 18,000 video gambling terminals at bars, restaurants, truck stops and veteran's halls. But, video gambling is not to blame says says Michael Gelatka, president of the Illinois Gaming Machine Operators Association.

Last month, players pumped $734 million into those machines.  Gelatka says it’s about 85 percent video slot machines, 15 percent video poker.  He adds video gaming still can grow if cities that ban it lift those bans.
