A Greene County food processing plant is being ordered to shut down. Officials say Parks Locker Service in Greenfield had nearly 140 meat and poultry violations between March 24th and June 17th. Officials say there were instances where water was dripping onto meat rails, there was rust on meat hooks, and peeling paint on the walls and ceilings in places where meat was being stored and processed.
Management was apparently unwilling or unable to correct the problems. The company's license has been revoked but they do have a right to appeal the decision.
