It's Adult Education and Family Literacy Week, and the Illinois Community College Board is reminding that classes are available to help increase job opportunities.  In Illinois, more than 1.8-million adults lack a high school diploma or GED.

Community College Board Spokesman Matt Berry says reaching that milestone is vital to continue learning and train for a career.

In addition, Secretary of State Jesse White's office and the Illinois State Library offer literacy grants to help more people become proficient readers.
