State lawmakers have established a new enterprise zone in Madison County and are considering another application that could incorporate part of the Riverbend later this year. Madison County Chairman Alan Dunstan announced the new zone in eastern Madison County that includes portions of Collinsville, Glen Carbon, Maryville, Troy, Highland and St. Jacob.
That one is called the Discovery zone. State lawmakers will now consider an application that includes portions of Godfrey, Jerseyville, Jersey and Green Counties. Dunstan tells The Big Z that would be of great benefit to an area full of promise.
