The part of Stamper Lane in Godfrey that has been closed for the past few months should reopen in about a week. The upgrades have been focused on stretch of Stamper just west of the main entrance to Glazebrook Park to just east of the Godfrey Knights of Columbus Hall.
Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick tells The Big Z the inconveniences that have been part of this upgrade will be worth it in the long run.

One final segment of construction will improve the section that runs from the new ballpark area to just west of Godfrey Road. Current construction is scheduled to wrap up on November 22.
